Default my xb got jacked up

I work at a mall, and left my car parked in the parkinglot with all the others and when i came out to go home at nine, my windows were smashed in and my entire sound system was gone, they destroyed my dash in the process of geting my three day old in dash dvd player out and tore apart my trunk area geting my subs and amps out. for some reason my alarm decided not to go off and of course the security cameras at the mall cover every area except where i was parked. what kind of bull is that i am so ____ed and want to kick the crap out of the person who did this.

Sounds like your insurance should sue the mall to cover what they pay out to put your box back to normal. Sorry for your temp. losses tho.

A sad story...It almost always is someone you know who has told someone or it was overheard or something like that. I am always glad to have my trusty old '89 Escort for trips to the mall. I hope you have no trouble with the insurance, they are funny about coverage on aftermarket equipment unless you have a rider on your policy. Good Luck!

Damn man. I would try to get the insurance to cover it, but I dought they will cover your losses and they might get the damage of dash/trunk but that's about it. As far as your alarm not going off I would deff check that and make sure that is still working but sorry to hear that you lost your stuff did you file police report?

If your insurance doesn't cover it, then you have terrible insurance.

Alarms are a joke. Unless your parked in your driveway and you can run out in time. At a place like the mall no one looks twice at an alarm going off. I hope your insurance company does right by you.

So took the car in to the insurance adjuster today. They told me nothing i wanted to hear. Maybe they will put a stock hu in for me or maybe they wont and they are going to rip out all of my wiring so i have to start over. They said that if i had reported i had the stuff in the car there would have been a better chance but when i told the guy that i had not even finished puting it in, all he said was that sucks. Anyone recomend a good insurance company other than GEICO. I am oviously droping them after this

Sorry to hear about your box When i had my tC, i was parked in a mall parking lot, about 10p, ran in for just 20 minutes, came out and all my stuff was gone: purse, clothes, some work files. Took the local PD 3.5 hours to get to me! But man i was so ____ed, they wrecked the door on my tc using a crowbar.

Good luck, i hope your insurance will help you out!

my insurance is going to fix the window, the dash and paint the door. They are considering giving me the money to put a new stock head unit in, which is better than nothing. Have any of you heard anything about an alarm system called "Scyteck" they have this alarm that is suposed to take and send you pictures when your car is being broken in to.

Don't blame Geico for YOU not adding your high priced sound equpment to your coverage. They can't insure what they don't know about.
Also remember they can't steal what they can't see. Stealth is your friend next time. Sorry you had to learn an expensive lesson this way.

Most companies will cover add ons but you need to purchase a rider and you pay according to how much extra coverage you need.
BTW, Farm Bureau is only good for homeowners insurance. Not auto.
