The director liked it because it has no logos on it, it sits fairly close to the ground, and the metallic gray doesn't call attention to itself.

It's not like it was the star of the shot or anything. It was at the side, parked in the driveway, as the main action happened next to it. It may or may not end up in the final commercial, depending on how they edit it. But, hey...
