Default Mystery ****

I found this little knobby thing in my "microwave" today. Anyone knows what it does, or if it even belongs in the car? I just got the xA this week so it came with the car from the dealership.

along these lines, who knows what the little white button is under in the automatic transmissions, it is under a little lid off to the right of the lever.

The little button is the transmission lockout over-ride....If the neutral switch goes out, you can press that button and still start the car...

That **** however is a mystery. I'd put it in the glove box and if nothing fell off in a month, toss it because the rattle it created will be driving you nuts by then...

That little nut looking thing is the retainer for the kick panel. Check the drivers side and passenger side kick panel. At the back there is a bolt welded into the floor, that holds the panel in place, it just pushes on, and unscrews. If you had the keyless put in that's probably why it is there.

You mean like the 2 little black plugs that were in the back seat of my Xa when we picked it up. They were in a little plastic bag that said in bold print "These plugs must be installed before car can be delivered." No one had/ has any idea what they are or where they go.

Sounds like the rubber plugs that go in holes in the frame that were used to secure the car during shipping. If it is, there should be a little picture of where they go on the little baggie.

Ok so I still can't find where this **** goes. I looked all over both kickpanels today and nowhere looks like this would fit.

If anyone has any idea, can they take a picture of where they think it should go? Descriptions become lost on me

I wonder if I should be worried. I didn't have a security system installed and this little thing was just rattling around the microwave all by it's lonesome. No bag or anything, like someone pried it off and just threw it in there.

The dealer I went to was pretty shady about the car in general (it come from somewhere else but they never were specific even when we asked, has 80 miles on it for a car "fresh off the boat from the port" that was 20 miles away, was dirty when first saw it) so I don't know if I'm being overly paranoid or if its any cause for concern.

no camera but there is one screw on each side - i guess you call it kick panel.. BUT my guess is that the one in your oven was an extra - I found an extra SPare tire screw (the one that holds it in) in my tool bag - it was an extra and slightly different - I guess it's better to have extra parts left in there then to have some left behind...

Don't worry about the milage. I've seen some as high as 230 miles. This is because it costs $5 to drive 80 miles, instead of shipping it 80 miles for $350 or so. I'll try to get you a pic but I wouldn't worry about it.

I could be mistaken but, since the spare tire and the stock tires have different profiles, they require different length bolts to secure them in the storage area. The shorter of the two bolt is provided for the spare tire. The longer one for the stock tire.
