Default Need help picking a color

Im going to pick up a 05' xb saturday morning (11-13-04), but i can't figure out what color to pick. Either Black or Silver (don't like the other colors).

Black looks nice, but its alot of work to keep it looking nice

Silver is nice but it seem to plain.

I'm looking to install gunmetal wheels on it, and i need some inspiration on my color choose.

What do you guys think and if someone has pics of blk or silver boxs please post

I think all the colors that are offered for the xB are pretty cool... I had a hard time deciding. Originally I thought I'd want Black Cherry Pearl, but the more I went to the dealership, the less I liked the BCP, and the more I liked Camo. I've seen both colors you are trying to decide whether to get or not up here in west WA, and I would have to say that between the 2 colors, I would get the silver. I think that if you were to go with the black, however, you should get gunmetal rims with a big polished lip... that's what I got... looks cool on darker colors.

I was in this same situation, I decided on white, because black swirls and scratches like crazy, and everyone has thundercloud. The white still shows dirt pretty easily, however.

I have seen all the dark colors and its hard to not have swirels with this paint. One friend waxes his enough to keep it shining without them but thats a lot of work.

I got TCM because it reminds me of bare metal and because it doesn't show dirt as easily as white or the dark colors. Also, the dark colors soak up too much heat in the summer. Oh, and cops don't notice gray as much.

But having someone else pick the color of your car is kind of like having someone pick your wife for you.

I had the same problem a few weeks back when I was purchasing my xB.I ended up with the BOP,a great color, yes kinda hard to keep clean, but aren't ALL dark colored vehicles?I've washed it about five times now,I use the Mr. Clean AutoDry carwash and VERY PLEASED with it so far,no need to hand dry it.Also when washing a dark colored vehicle use a soft sponge and wash it in a back and forth motion, not circular, and thus will cut down on swirl marks greatly :D Just my 2 cents

Personally if I could x-change my TCM in for a new color, I'd go with Polar White. After debadging and cleaning up the box, I think the white on black trim looks the best.
And I'm sure gunmeteal would set it right.

i was torn between camo and black cherry... i was going to go camo, but it seems to be a hard to get color in 5 speed at the time.

i saw a white scion the other day, and normally i don't like white on a car (looks like a fleet or comercial car to me)... but white on xB looks sweet!

between those 2 colors youre looking at i'd go with thunder cloud metallic, i've seen both tcm and black in person, the black to me looked bland and didnt "pop" as much.

silver would be easier to maintain IMO.

none-the-less congrats on the xB!

i went with the camo mainly because it was the only 5 speed at the time, but its one of my favorite colors next to polar white.

I have a TCM xB, but I really wnated a camo. The reason for not getting the camo, I didn';t want to wash it every other day. I live where its really dusty and windy.

You can't go wrong w/ gunmetal wheels on TCM.
