Need help regarding front window tint
I'm going to pick up my Hot Lava soon and want to tint the front windows to match the rear "privacy glass" PERFECTLY. Does anyone know of a brand/film/% that matches the stock tint?
Otherwise I'll have to have it all removed and re-tint the whole thing the same...
:?

My front tints are 20% and the place I went used Llumar Film.
The 20's front outside match the tint but from the inside they are a little darker.
I will take some pictures so that you can see.

Sorry, but there is no aftermarket tint that will match the factory colored glass PERFECT (as you put it)
you are dealing with two entirely different systems of tint. One, the factory, is nothing more than colored glass. Aftermarket is an applied film.
Personally, I would prefer that xB's came with tinting of any kind just so I could do a custom tint job instead of the plain-jane that comes stock.
For those the dislike film over factory - keep in mind that factory "tint" provides no UV protection, no heat reduction, no glass breakage protection, is not removable when you get tired of it and most important - you have no choice - you're stuck with it.
The appearance of a good installers work can be as good or better than the looks of factory colored glass. If you've been getting shoddy looking work - well, that's what most folks get (and deserve) for phone shopping and going to the cheapest place in the phone book (not that I'm saying anyone here has actually done that - even though I get that garbage 50 times a day or more...)
Just find the nicest, CLEANEST shop you can and check one of their cars out in the parking lot. If it looks good - go there. Price is the least important factor. Qaulity and a FACTORY warranty (with the factory warranty card!) are #1/#2

I had a tint shop do all my windows. They used a light tint in the back with a darker one in the front and got it to match perfectly. The front is just legal here in FL. Go to a place which specializes in tint, especially one where theres a wait, and the installer will get it right.
I just want to a tint shop by my house and they matched the fronts pretty well and the best part is that it only took 30 minutes and costed only $30. I didn't ask what % though
I can tell a difference because I know it's tinted and pay attention to it, but the average person would never know

There's no way they can match it perfectly unless u tint them all!
here's my story:
i had my windows tinted at a place in sunnyvale.
i asked them so many times " do u think u can match the privacy glasses in the back?" they told me "YES."
it came out the front windows are darker than the back and they are little greenish color, i was like "HEY! they dont match at all" our factory privacy glasses are kinda brownish...
so ended up peeling them off...funny thing is they asked me to pay for the materials and wanted to keep my key since i refused to. WTF is going on!
and couple of their customers came out when they heard we arguing, so he gave me back the key and "Have a good one!"

I had all my windows tinted. 5% in the rear on top of the factory tint, and 30% up front. The rear doors and back glass cannot be seen through, it's awesome. Even with your hands up blocking the light you can't even see through to the other window. I got my eyebrow tinted too and the whole thing ran me $150 even. It's nice on the inside now.

I'll take some pics after I get the chance to use my new Mr. Clean Auto-Dry Car Wash system. Oh, and install my precision muffler axle-back exhaust, and my 3rd brakelight mod. Which I will do on the 24th when I go back to my hometown for the weekend. But I may wash it this afternoon and snap some pics. Look for pics tonight, hopefully.

Ok, my cardomain account wasn't allowing me to do anything, so I had to upload the pics to my imagestation account. My car isn't very clean, I just did a quick soap and rinse at the quarter wash. Here's the link.

i got 35% in the front and eyebrow and they seem to match the rear windows. at first the tint shop put 20%and it ended up darker than the rear windows. the difference is minimal and the only reason that you would be able to tell is because u r comparing a film to smoked glass. came out nice though. very clean looking.
Most common tint film comes in two shades... gray and smoked.
The gray has abit of a bronze tint to it...with some gray shade. The smoked is abit darker and more black.
I went with the smoked...very light ..but close enough to match the rear..it's not 100% matched..but about 90% close.
here's my pix of the front tinted...
