ok it is in the automatic transmission shifter housing on the pasengers side. if you take off the console you'll see on the right side under the black oval letterd shifter indicater.A white plastic unit almost the size of a pack of cigs. There is a wire quick connector that is attatched and a single phillips head attached to it to remove it.
there is a lever and a cylender looking part . The cylinder looking part its about 1 3/4 " long ,one end is metal cone shapped .Its square in the middle with a post on one side with a little black rubber washer on it and tappers flat with a plastic prong on the other end .this connects to a lever that locks and unlocks the shifter when you depress the break pedal. This is the part i need CAN ANY ONE HELP???

If the part has a number, the dealer should be able to let you point out what part you need in the picture on the screen. If not, you might do better by hitting up a salvage yard that has an xB for parts by using www.car-part.com . Just find a dealer near you that has one and pick up the whole shifter assembly for cheap.
