i loved the scion since i first saw it. i actually went to a dealer today, pretty much decided on it. my one question, i want the rs 1.0. whats my chances of getting it in the PA area say on MONDAY?

 

It will never happen. They aren't even out yet.

 

i saw one at the autoshow today. when are they to be released.

 

The website says spring of 2004, but others say next month. No one really knows the exact date.

 

some say march some say april some say June, but my dealer said march... but of course every other dealer says that there Scion dealer is always in contact with toyota and they know everything about it, but I beleive mine.

 

my dealer says march as well. but your chances may be slim considering there are only going to be 2100 released. people on this forum have been making deposits on theirs since as early as 12/15/03 so its pretty much up in the air as to how many are left. good luck though.

 

Don't give up hope. I visited a dealer yesterday and put deposit on RS 1.0 and he told me I was the first one at that dealership to order one. It was funny because the salesman seemed more excited than me about the package.

 

Where in PA are you ..... I have 2 ordered and would be willing to give one up, I have a $200.00 deposit on it, not sure if it will arrive as a stick or automatic. I am staying with my local dealer ...

Let me know, all I would ask is that you give me back my 200.00 deposit and we will call the dealer and have the paperwork changed for your name ..... I know I could probably get a nice dollar for this when it arrives, but I am not that way .....

I'm in the PA area as well and I put my deposit down last week. Talking to my salesman at Lawrenceville Scion (Matt rules!), he said the Northeast is getting 200 of these for 80 dealerships. Every dealer is guaranteed one, meaning there is an extra 120 up for grabs to be split between the 80 dealers (after each gets its one). He also stated that if he were to get 3 people with deposits prior to there early March release, then he would probably get his definite 1 as well as 2 extra from the spare 120 pool.

Again, this came from his regional distributor through him. if you go down monday, you should be able to get a deposit down, no problem.

 

yeh ill be interested, but i want a manual not automatic.

i saw my dealer on sat just before he was closing, i plan on going there early morning on monday. i got my deposit in hand. have great credit, i was like inches from buying an srt4 just for teh power. but utility wise scion is just what i need, and i love the styling even though its slower than my 15 year old crx.

They will be out in March. They're going to be awesome, and go very fast so I'd definately get on a list if you want the 1.0....beautiful cars.
