I didn't have problems with the washer bottle or battery.
I wired mine directly to the parking lights.
I am going to rewire them when my are gets out of a cast though. I want the leds to blink with the blinker and I want the halos (including my grill halos) to be on a totally different switch.

BTW I took one of my other club members by the pinstripers yesterday to decide what he is going to get done to his box. I talked to him about the Rockblocker and he is very interested in checking it out. We are going to be there for a couple of hours today while he stripes the other guys box, so we will talk some more.
Cool. BTW, what is the name for those lights in the grille piece. I am looking to name them for the site.

Thanks

That is a piece made by ABS. They call them fog lights. I call them driving lights because they are really to too high to be fog lights.

ebay sellers do not have to pay any percentage or fees on shipping, thats why a lot of places charge so much. Look at the poker chips market, they are notorious for excessive shipping charges. Here's an example:

$47 shipping

Default What about installation?

Hello, new member and xB owner since Friday. I just ordered headlights like these and I was wondering about installation. I read the tech article about whiting out the corners, and it looks like you have to take off the front grill and bumper just to replace the headlights. Is this true?

Thanks in advance for the help.

Default Short but sweet

Thanks for the answer. Direct and to the point, that's what I like.

My new headlights should be here soon. Dual halo with the black housing, $147 shipped, so I'm happy about the cost.

Is it really as much of a pain as it looks to pull the front end off? What kind of time commitment am I looking at here?

I hope swapping out the tail lights is easier...

The bumper takes about 15 minutes to take off, tops.

The taillights are very easy.

Default Just got 'em!

Got my new headlights today. Very cool.

I was wondering, for those of you who have installed them in your xB's, any words of advice you can give?

Also, where/what do I connect the individual lines to for the led's and angel eyes?

If you could post it here or email it to me, I'd be forever in debt. I could even take pictures of the process myself to post in the tech section.

And one final question. Any idea what size the led bulbs are and if I can replace them with other colors? Same with the turning blinker?

Sorry to sound like such a novice, but I am one. I appreciate everyone's help.

here:
The projectors are plug and play though. The splicing for the led's and halos is really easy. It was my first time splicing and I had no problem. If you want the led's in with the corner lights, splice them into the green wire with the orange stripe.....If ya want the led's to blink woith the turn signal, put them in the green wire with the silver dots.
if you do a search for "dual halo projectors" you can get more info.

Default Excellent Advice

Thanks again for the info. I did find just about everything I needed.

One question, and I'll just float this out there because I don't remember reading it anywhere.

Anybody have any ideas on how to rig the halos to be daytime running lamps?

I see where you can connect them to the parking lights, but I'd rather they be on whenever the car is on. Also, that way, the turn indicators wouldn't be on while the halos are on.

Once again, I appreciate your input and your patience. I'm learning, slowly but surely.
