Default New here! My New Box (lots of pics, beware!)

My new baby

05 xB
Wheels/Tires
Auto-dimmming Mirror with Homelink, Compass, Outdoor Temp, Map Light (needed in xB, general lack of lighting).
Fog Lights
Cruise Control
Spoiler
Tail Lights
Rear Bumper Applique
Exhaust Finisher
Mats
Door Sill Enhancements
Sport Pedals
Sport Shift ****
Arm Rest
Custom Painted trim ring for speedo cluster
Custom vented grills for dash speakers
Smoked License Plate Cover
Felt lining for ash-tray. I put my change in there, and it was noisy. So, I used the felt that was in the slot where the armrest goes, applying spray adhesive to the back.
Sony CD/MP3. Alpine 4 channel amp for front/back (I'm using the Dash speakers as the fronts. Rockford Fosgate "Power" speakers: 4" in dash, 5.25" in rear). Sony 2 channel amp for door speakers (I'm using them as subs, and they work quite well!)

Thats good. So did most of those things you have on there, did you order them from the dealer? I would think the audio stuff + wheels no, but like the spoiler & such?

oh man, do not get me started on the dealer-
Yes, there did some of it, but I had to put the applique, tail lights, sill enhancements, etc. I also had to re-do the cruise and the mirror temp probe. I would have been better off doing it myself. I will not even go back to the dealer for an oil change, and I mean that. They also scratched the paint on the hood, fender, and rocker panels. After a month of fighting with them and threatening suit, they FINALLY had the parts re-painted. I demanded that a body shop other than them do the work.

So is that the tC mirror? Doesn't it mount to the windshield? Can we see some close up pics? I want that mirror, but don't want to mount it to the windshield...

How hard was the cruise control to get? Does it work well? How much was it? I would love cruise on mine!

Okay:

I ordered the mirror through Sports Imports LTD. It is the 50-GENK60. It is 380.00, and worth every penny. There is a really great place to mount the temp probe to the upper right corner of the uppper lower grille where it will get great air without the elements getting on it too much. The dealer had Ziebart install it, as it was supposed to save me money and time. Well, they did okay, but they installed the temp probe above the radiator!! Stupid.

I actually wanted it installed on the glass, because I get a better perspective with it being mounted lower. I can see the face of a driver in a very large SUV behind me much easier.

The wheels are IRC- very VERY hard to find. The place I bought them from isn't even in business anymore. I am very suprised that I even received them, frankily. They are a smoked-chrome finish, which is just perfect for this color.

The cruise is very easy to get, even off of e-Bay, and pretty easy to install, if you have a Saturday to spend.

I actually am not going to drop it- I went with 17's because I wanted the look of performance, but wanted to preserve ride quality. My ride is very good, and if I drop it, it will get hard. Furthermore, here in northern Indiana, we can get some serious snow, and I gotta get around

I had also considered a cai, but I am getting 31+ in all city driving, and most everything I've ever heard is that it's hardly noticeable. I hear about people putting exhaust, intake, strut bar, etc on these, and I kinda scratch my head- I bought it for practical purposes. I had an STi before this, and it was great, but I gotta have comfort. It handles quite well with the 17's and the Falken Ziex 512's.

Thanks! Glad that others think it looks guud.

For the felt in the ashtray- I went to a craft store and bought some grey felt and cut it to fit.... that way you can keep the felt in the cup holder.....

suck about the dealer probs bro!

Hey, post some pics of your door sills.....
