Default Newbie Question About What Items To Purchase When Shopping..

If this is covered somewhere else, I apologize as I have searched this forum now for 2 days reading before asking a bunch of newbie questions. I have been using message forums for 4x4's since 1998 so I am familiar with the "SEARCH" button before I get attacked.

Anyway, getting out of the 4x4 sport as I break to much stuff and when I was at the Honolulu Car Show on Saturday I saw the Scion Xb and it really caught my attention. After doing some research with the sales guys, Scion's website I noticed that there are endless amounts of mods that one can do from the factory, however here in Hawaii they aren't even selling them yet. The first batch of about 85 arrive July 4, 2004 and I was led to believe they are shipping as is, meaning they are not taking orders on them

So, what options should one get, and should one pass on. I noticed that Randode Racing has a cold cathrode lighting system that is hundreds less then the factory option for interior colored lighting. I also noticed that the billet grills for all front bumpers can be had for around $300 as well which is substantially cheaper then the dealer installed one. Shifter, pedals and all of that also seem to be much cheaper aftermarket as opposed to dealer bought so what options would you all recommend getting, if any to a new Xb?

Here are a few of the sites I have visited to get up to date on the Scions....if you have any other good ones let me know:

http://www.scionforum.us
https://www.scionlife.com/xb/

Thanks guys....appreciate any positive feeback. :D

Skip all the extra B.S.....maybe get the floormats, thats it. All the other stuff can be had at a fraction of the cost.

Yeah, all I got was floormats. Otherwise, I would've had to wait 5 days to get my xA. The floormats were already included in the price...

Cosmetic: TL factory ,Red genie ...are the better NA places, if you want real japan pieces...It can be had but real expensive.

Audio ect. Im sure there are local guys that do a kickass job....go through them.

Performance: Headers (DC or ELPrototype's), Intake (Injen or K&N), Full Exhaust (contact Stylis), Blitz S/C

Exterior: Tint windows, 16" TRD rims

Interior: Dying the script on the floor mats to match the paint

That's what I will be doing.
