This video is very ordinary. I would not say that the creator does not have a life or is unintelligent because (s)he made this crude video. The truth is a very large number of people are going to hate anything that they are not used to seeing or experiencing. It does not matter whether it is a car, food, music, or a group of people. Putting something down is easy because you will always find followers. I could care less.
ok, well if he really doesn't like 'em why in the world would he sit there for 5 hours making one of the worst flash animations i have every had the displeasure of wasting my life on.
geez if he hates 'em so much why doesnt he just not look at them?

I can think of at least four things that suck even more than the box...
His flash skill, microphone, sense of humor, and spelling. It's customary not to eat the microphone while you are recording...

I had someone get outta Chrysler 300C last night at a bar I was at and immediately start hatin on my car. He turned his ride into a true Bentley knock-off with a mesh grille and big @$$ chrome rims. He said "thats still the ugliest s*&@ they make into a car" (he didnt know the owner was standing on the other side obviously...) I chimed in, "At least my car KNOWS its a box. Your car is having an identity crisis!"
He spent five hours on that?! And, he said Scion owners would be embarrassed in "open public"? Is there a closed public? Or a private public? He also misspelled ridiculous as "rediculous." And he says Scion owners embarrass themselves?
You know what they say about haters... he's got to be a closet-Scion lover.

And there is probably that still small minority of the US population that is still angry with Japan over Pearl Harbor - my 80 year old grandmother is one of them; she lost people she was close to in the war - and that is why she has NEVER purchased a Japanese vehicle.
In fact, the two reasons above likely account for a lot of the miscommunication about what Americans want. Older executives making decisions based upon invalid paradigms, firmly rooted in the past that is no more.
Scion's release and Toyota's attention to the "youth" market has helped bring vehicles that many from my generation and older (I'm 34) have wanted to drive for years.
I believe this is where Toyota went amiss with their target and why demographics of Scion purchases have not 100% borne out the assumptions of the "youth" segment buying their vehicles. When I was in jr. high and high school, I raced R/C cars (still do occasionally with my son) and everyone I knew wanted the Tamiya models of japanese touring sedans and off-road vehicles because that seemed to be as close to actually owning a "true" Japanese car that we'd ever get.
