Default No more xB!

That's right, I'm getting rid of my xB in about a week. I bought it for a daily driver, something that had a little room and was decent on MPG. But I need somethig bigger with more power and I also need something that will tow. Yes I know my other truck will tow but it's pretty much all show and will be under construction a lot this summer. Besides I'm going to be towing an ATV trailor that holds around 3 ATV's at the most and will be going down lots of dirts roads etc.. to get to some places to ride. I ordered a 2005 Chevy Silverado 2WD Crew Cab short bed the other day. It should be here middle of the week. I've enjoyed my xB so far but need something with more room and something that will tow. I'm taking all my audio stuff out and transfering it to the Crew Cab. I prolly won't do anything "major" to the Crew Cab, Just TV it out, drop it in the rear 2 inches and some 22" rims. Just something semi-nice to drive everyday.

Gas isn't that bad on these trucks. They get around 22 or so. Besides I don't pay for my gas since my dad owns/runs an oil business.

Why not 4wd? My wife has a 2wd dodge dakota and it's useless in any inclimate weather.

FORD MAN
-I'm from South GA. The weather isn't bad at all here. You act like we have a monsoon every other week here!
-I'm getting a Chevy because I've never had any problems with them at all! My 03 GMC has had no recalls nor any trouble at all. I never had any trouble out of my previous trucks, which were Chevy's. My brother on the other hand, who is a Ford man, has had tons of trouble. He had a 2000 Ford with tons of problems and he has an 04 Ford F-150 now and it's had no telling how many recalls and problems.
-You can tow with a lowered truck. I've seen bagged and lowered trucks tow all the time. Besides I'm only going to lower it 2 inches in the rear. That's not a lot on a stock Silverado!

And for proof of bagged trucks towing here's you a pic of Ekstensive Metal Work's truck towing at this year's Showfest!

http://www.gmfullsize.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27878

And here's you a truck draggin frame while towing!!

No man sorry. I'm taking the 2 12's, amp and the Kenwood DDX 7015 out and will be installing them into the new truck. The Kenwood will fit in the Silverados no problem. I may or may not keep the 18" rims on it and I may sell those later on. Not sure yet.

I'll let you know man. I don't know if the guy wants them or not. He should get my truck Tues. or Wed. and I'll know something around then.

Thanks guys. I'll prolly lurk around every once and a while on here. I've learned a lot since owning the xB and while being on here, so I'll post what I know where and when I can.

Here's what replaced the xB!! I got it on last Wed. just haven't had time to post anything yet. I love the room this thing has! Way more than my box for sure!
It's a 2005 2WD Chevy Silverado Crew Cab LS. Dark Blue Metallic. I ended up getting $13,800 for my xB. Not too bad IMO. This one listed for $34,000. It's got tan leather interior, steering wheel controls, message center controls, power folding-heated-turn signals mirrors, 5.3L V8, fog lights, etc, etc... I also didn't know until I picked it up that it's a "Z85". I've never even heard of one. It's some sort of suspension package. I'll take those stickers off though! It's rides great!! It also came with nerf bars too. But I took care of that today! I'm also going to install my Kenwood DDX 7015 and 2 12's sometime in the next few weeks. I've got to find a box that will hold 2 12's and I need a harness for the headunit too. I gotta get that rear end down 2 inches too! For right now I'll lower the rear 2 inches to level it out and I may get some 22's too. And I'm going to put my Kenwood DVD player/screen in it and I may put some screens in the headrests too. I may get a Denali black wood dash bezel and some caddy P. gauges too. I thought about getting an SS bumper cover for the front. But that's a little ways off.. Anyway enough of that, here it is.

Took care of the nerf bars!

I also debaged today. Plus I haven't washed it yet cause it's been raining off and on all day.

Looks pretty clean. I like the leather. A little warning, a guy I work with has the exact same truck, never towed anything, babies it, and had the tranny go out at 10k miles.

Best of luck.
