Default Old Yeller's trip for an Oil Change

Ok--I know I open myself up for flaming but I took Old Yeller in to EZ Lube for a Mobil One oil change. I just don't like the hassle of draining my oil and taking it in for recyling. Anyway, I pull into the lot and a young guy comes out and says "Is this your car?" (WTF no I just randomly bring other people's cars in for oil changes). "Yes, it is my car". "Its your car, not your son's car?" Yes I say--my son drives an old pickup. The young guy says he doesn't like Scions, but likes my car. I show him under the hood and he likes the carbon fiber engine cover and intake. He asks me if I show my car and I tell him I go to some Scion meets but my car is not modded enough to win any prizes.

OK so I am not 18 and have an interest in Scions and doing a few mods on my ride.
It is not a crime to be nearly 55 is it? I just hope when the young guy is 55 he is still driving his Honda!!

Default Very Cool!!!

I am 40 years old myself and am seriously looking at getting an Xb to mod. I have noticed that most of people I see in my town driving an Xb are 40+. Who says we are too old to have fun.?

I'm surpised you can operate a computer, let alone know how to post at your advanced age ;) .

I could say the same thing, I'm not even 18 yet.

I thought it was you and Thomas Edison - or was it Nicola Tesla?

Dave maybe old in age, but very young at heart. Very cool guy too!
If I live to be 50, I hope I can spend times like he can do right now.

Ive seen the news reports that they are now say that 60 is the "New 40" so I guess that makes us 40 somethings, the new 20!

Ive had my XB since 5-12-06, I have 9K on it. Its the best for us old folks, I see more 30,40 & 50 year olds driving Xbs than kids. I commute 80 miles a day RT and here is what I notice about Scions so far

XB=baby boomers, TC= GenX or GenY (need a fast sporty car), XA=practical college students

Now My 16 year old son and 20 year old daughter are all impressed with my mods & stereo system and I will continue doing mods, while being practical. But Heck I still feel & act like Im 20 something. You go old yeller!

probably not alot of folks on here know who "Old Yeller" is, let alone "Where the Red Fern Grows" (no flames intended) and inside joke for us old folks,

im just feeling giddy, doing my 1st show today with Boxzila
Peace out!

At 43, I've been modding cars my whole driving life. It started back in the late 70's with musclecars and has just progressed to tuners. Just because you get older.... Doesn't mean you have too ACT your Age. I seemed to hit like 22 and stayed there forever.
