Passing the torch...Good bye xB
I haven't been active on the site for a looooong time but was a very active member in the early years in Maryland.
Tomorrow I say good bye to my xB. I am selling it to a friend for there 16 year old son who has been begging them to get him a first gen. xB. I know at least it's going somewhere where it may have new exciting life breathed into it.
It has been an amazing vehicle. I purchased it the first day Scion's went on sale in Maryland, February 4, 2004. Two days before my daughter was born. Blue Oynx Pearl Automatic.
Since then I have amassed just over 183,000 miles on it and a move to Texas. Almost trouble free. I can count the troubles I've had on one hand and 2 of the 3 were covered under warranty or a TSB. The other was just an old sensor that needed to be replaced. That's reliability for ya there.
It just came time to get something more comfortable and better gas mileage for my long drive to work. I know I will miss it but I know it's going into some good hands.
