Default Peeled window tape on a PW xB

ok so i have been contemplating this for a while now...i would like to see pictures of people with the window tape peeled off their PW's...and i would like to hear what everyone feels about doing it...

its a tough decision because i think once the tape is peeled, its peeled for life...or is there replacement tape you can buy from the dealer???

So lets see some of these secksay boxes with the peeled tape

dont do it dude, I dont remember where I seen it but I also rock the PW and like you I also pondered to peel the window tape and when I finally seen it.............ewww.
the black with the tinted windows look the best.......however, if I had a black box or a bcp box it would have been one of the 1st things I would have done.

good luck

thank you DirtyMexican for your opinion...i want to see a pic of a PW, side view with the tape removed just to see the contrast against the tint...

if i were to peel the tape i think i would leave the vertical strips on there an just peel tops, that is how my moms mercedes is and it dont look too bad...what do you guys think about that...good idea???

I'd say you'd have to peel the tape off except for the B pillar on both doors, but I'd also say that you'd have to leave the tape on the C-pillars.

I don't like the tape removal. I prefer the one-window look. Are your windows tinted? It's gonna look even weirder.

my front 2 are not tinted yet...what really got me thinking about this is: i have a yakima rack on my box and on one of the back doors i guess the fit was so tight that it bubbled the tape at the top so if i were to take the rack off it would be noticable, its not with the rack on though because it folds the weather strip over so you cant tell with the door closed...

#3 yes if you realy don't like it after you peel it you can go to the dealer (or any local vinal shop) and get some put back on.

Don't peel the tape! Looks better with it on and like someone mentioned before, looks like a complete window insted of it being "broken" up by the missing tape.

the tape is around 50 for just one back door, it seems like when we bought it at work for 2 doors, both drivers side it was 125 our cost, then add 25% to that (actual list price) and you'll see how much one side is, its not a normal vynil either, its got a super adhesive and only a backing, also takes alot of skill to put those on correctly, we just paint that crap back on because its easier and looks better
