I double checked all the fittings previously. As for the filter being over oiled I couldn't tell if it was. There didn't appear to be any excessive oil in the intake when I took it off. Go figure.

Oh car is back to normal now. No erratic idling or stalls. I didn't really notice any significant loss in power after intalling the original air filter box back on. I guess I can live without one for now.

My car always idled irratically lol. Oh well, doesn't seem to hurt anything!
