I know that when I went to visit him last, the scion lot only had 1xB and 1xA. I'm surprised about the stick tho. Everyone here who has it swears by it. We need to get the word out more
i m getting an automatic, the only reason for that is because i am in the military and about every two to three months i take long trips , it is easier to control with out woorying about shifting up and down in bad traffic. plus i am not racing it so no need for the quick shifts and extra hp that is lost, i will gain it all back with the extras i put on her
and the demographics of the people that will be buying this car, most people buy auto as MOST of the people on this board are within acertain age range so they buy stick, but if you consider the whole market, most will prefer auto. Its supposed to be a comfy commuter car not a speed machine haha. But yeah order autos, and maybe keep a small handful of sticks on the lot. =) White 5 speed seems to be what most popular when it comes to stick. Most people i know that have stick have white cars...weird huh?
5-SPEED. Ive waited a month for SLO toyota to get a blk 5speed, its going to be next week until i get it. so a month and 6 more days. its bulls*&% if you ask me. but hey, why complain and go someplace else when it should be here in a few days.
i test drove both the stick & auto a few times... i wasn't feeling the stick one cause i didn't feel too much of a power change when i would shift... i had to drive a different one at another dealer just to make sure about the whole stick issue and it was the same. so i ended up getting an auto. plus it's more of a cruiser can anyway.
typically, you have so much more control over the car when you have a manual, you can accelerate faster. usually shifting after 4-5 grand is where youre going to feel yourself go a little faster and where your going to gain. i did it with the dealer i wasnt easy on it. if im going to spend money on a car, i wanna see exactly what im buying. , im used to my mr2, and its little 4age, the tvis opens all the way around 4-5... (beside the point)
i just find automatics to be pretty gutless, and the problems even worse with hondas. i hate having to wait them to fall into a lower gear to exellerate.

what is the HP rating on that one? if it is competative with the other cars in its class -RSX and TIBERON, a manual would be good, also remember that there is more than just drag racing in the world, autocross is a big thing for amatuer racers, and you don't need alot of hp in that , and a manual is a good thing in autocross. if it turns out to be competative i would get a manual and autocross it.
I went down to Longo Scion a couple of months ago and was checking out the 5M but they didnt have any I could test drive and the guy told me that they made a crap load of 5Ms in the beginning and now they are trying to make more autos to balance it out... Seems like there is more people wanting a 5M than a auto. Anyway... the guy never called me back to tell me when I could go test drive a 5M... bloody bastards...
