Default Pics of Moonroof in xB

I've been getting a lot of people PMing me about the moonroofs we put in xB's through our dealership, and I've been promising to put some pics up. Well, finally I've got it done, and there they are:

It's a really clean install with power slide/tilt, and a better warranty than Toyota offers from the factory.

Anyway, sorry it took so long for me to get these up here. PM me if you still have any questions guys.

Drew

Is that the one that goes inside the roof when open. I saw one at the deadler today on a black xB here in NY. The price is $875 for the power roof that goes outside the roof and the other one was $1200 for the one that slides inside the roof.

we're selling them for $1495. It retracts into the roof, but it can also tilt. It's one touch, but you can also adjust in manually.

Good question. We haven't experimented with that, and we haven't really considered it. The rear moonroof looks pretty cool...I know Jon's blue car is awesome, but it's something we're not offering at this time.

That's the same roof. I'm getting one in my Cherry xB. He told me the price would be around $1200 :D

Usually we can have it back within a day or so. It may take longer depending on how backed up the service guys are, but nothing extreme.

DibujoB can you guys do the moonroof that retracts outside the vehicle. I don't want to lose head room.

So, is it just a really big saw that cuts the roof? How do you not get tiny pieces of metal and crap inside the car? Does it mess anything up? Is it possible that it will leak?

Sorry I have so many questions, I'm curious.

What's up Stylis?

I don't think I can get them done any other way, but the headroom really isn't much different.

In terms of how they install it...I really have no idea! I'd think there's more to it than just taking a saw and cutting out a square in the roof...I really should ask because I honestly am clueless as to moonroof installs.

As far as leaking and stuff....a factory toyota moonroof is warrantied for 3yr/36,000 miles. The aftermarket one is a limited lifetime warranty....I can't remember the specifics, but I think it's a lifetime warranty for leakage, and the motor and all that stuff is covered for 5 yrs/60,000 miles or something like that. I know it's better than the factory warranty.

Oh yeah...the scion symbol isn't actually an etching...it's vinyl! The way it's cut though it looks like it's etched...very nicely done.

We asked out sunroof guy cause we were gonna get a fixed glass in the back and he said when they cut the roof there is a frame that they put in the roof to support the lost bracing and that its twice the size of the width, so it woulndt be possiable to put another one... according to him, maybe it can be done but as far I have been told it cant be.

I don't know if you've ridden in them much but is there much of a difference in noise inside the cabin from having the sunroof? Also, based on the photos it seems as though they just cut the roof/ceiling and have the current headliner used as the sliding cover placed between the stock headliner and roof, so wouldn't the headroom actually be improved about 1/2" when it's closed??? I'm planning on having one installed on my Hot Lava RS1...thanks!
