Default Panoramic Sunroof Passenger Shield Question

Webasto, via my Dealer. And, about $1500.00 is what I paid, installed. Three years covered. So far, so good. My FAB FAV MOD, so far.

Hope that helps! And blackbow, let me know if/when you get your sunroof! Love to see pics of it![/quote]

My wife and I think it looks great. We too have a Black Cherry Pearl xB and are thinking of installing one as well.

One question though, I think you have the Webasto Hollandia 524 GrandView Panoramic Sunroof. Assuming that is the case, I think that there are 4 "sunshades" that pull out (like a horizontal window shade) that shield any individual passenger. Are they perforated such that the sun right overhead still lets a lot of light (and heat) in? This as opposed to the typical solid sliding panel that a standard sunroof has.

If it does, in your Florida heat and sunshine, do you get too hot because of the sunshield not being solid? Would really like to know.

We are also thinking about installing a Zeta Storage Arm Rest as well.

You have a really cool xBox!

Thanks,

Alan

Thanks Alan! Do get the sunroof. It's worth ever penny.

It is as you describe it, but no, no problem with 'lots of light (and heat)' as you put it. In fact, it stays really cool in there with the shades drawn. IMHO, of course. I do like a cool car...Not a big fan of the heat...(Yeah, I know, I live in Florida...but it's not always warm here...And I hate the cold north temps even more...)

RE: ARMREST: I like the dealer installed one I have, but to each his own.

you're more than welcome..

for someone who took very little interest in cars and modding them, after buying my xB i finally understand what all the fuss is about. Thanks to scionlife and pristine examples, like your own, i am happily on my way to modifying to my hearts' content!

Default End of thread.

Hey there!

It's with somewhat a weird heart, that I have, sold my xB.

Yup. I bought a 2005 TOYOTA PRIUS instead. LOADED, with more features then any SCION has, that is for sure. And boy, is it QUIET.

AND: MUCH better gas mileage 60 MPG city. THAT is what I need!

Yup! And about the same room as the BOX!
I'll post some pics at some time. It's SUPER WHITE....Which is also nice in SUNNY SOUTH FLORIDA.

I still have my xA. So I am still in the family.
MODS go ahead and lock this thread, thank you very much! Thanks for reading!

Yup. Some reasons...

My BOX had 18,000 + miles on it. SO, if I waited till over 20,000, the trade in goes in the pooper. AND, I knew going in, that all the MODS I would do/did, would not ammount to much help when it came time to trade it in. And it did not. I did get a fair deal, but still.

Another reason: Poor gas mileage after the 18 inch rims were put on. I was getting about 36 MPG on the 15 inch stock ones, and the ENKI'S, but not later. And gas it way too much now...

Another reason: SAVE THE PLANET. Now my cousin and I drive the same cars...Bill drives a PRIUS as well...

And, I was done. I had really finished the car, but to go to another level in car shows, would require I sell my soul, so to speak. I like my former BOX, the way it looked. It was almost perfect.

So if you know anyone in SOUTH FLORIDA that wants to buy a Nice Box, used, head them to KING TOYOTA.

Jeebs! I hope whoever gets Willie takes good care of it.

But, I have to say, awesome choice in the Prius. My wife is a diehard Saturn owner but has said that her next car will be a Prius. Unless Saturn can cough up a hybrid in the next four years.

If I had the money for a Prius when I was looking, I might have had that instead of the xA. But I'm still getting 36-38 mpg on it. So that's good.
