Default Pillar Gauges for the xB

I saw some of these pilars with gauges in em on ebay...

Ive seen them in a couple of xBs on this site (like matchbox's supercharged glory... *cries*).

I've been serchin on scionlife for a tech walkthrough, but I guess no one hasnt had the time to make one.

I'm kind of curious in buying of these (just the 2 gauge pilar, no need for 4 hehe) because my friend kindly asked me and I was baffled that our xBs don't have temperature gauges.

Is it worth the buy? I seriously do want to see my oil pressure. I can't really rely on a red light, let alone that blue light every time i start up the car once im away from it for at least an hr hehe.

Thanks a bunch!

I'm in the process of installing a 3 gauge set up for my box. No results yet.

What would these gauges have on them if you don't have a turbo or supercharger?

I will definetly be putting a water temp, oil pressure and volt meter into my xB. Its just I'd rather see actual temperatures than seeing a light come on saying that its hot or cold. To ther original poster why don't you take a look at autometer's web site they have some awesome gages and even gage pods for pilars. You will probably have to do a little fiberglassing and bondo work to mold one of their pilar gage pods to the xB'x pilar, I know you can get them in 2 and 3 gage options.

Check out http://www.autometer.com

i too have thw 4 pod a-pillar...

the problem with a walkthrough (or tech article) is that each guages requires diff installations...

the water guage is good in warmer weather (IMO). you either tap off the factory temp sensor or have to install one...

other guages have diff isues...

Dave,

I highly doubt it. With the amount of spacing I have between the gauges.

They were originally made for Gene.

I'll prolly have to buy the Autometer cf cups and mount the other two gauges on the dash,
