Default Please Help!

I got my Blue Scion about 3 months ago and I love it. However recently I've noticed an odd sound coming form the left side of the engine compartment (left from inside the cab) . When I am at low speeds (about 20 to 30 mph) I hear a sound like driving over gravel or kind of like a clicking like rocks in a box..its very feint but still noticeable to me.

I dont know much about the engine of my sweet little car so any ones help would be awesome..thankso so much :?:

welcome to the boards...

i had a similar clicking sound from my box too... does the clicking increase/decrease along with your speed?... if it does, it might actually be from the tires/wheels... some debris, or a nail might have gotten stuck... or in my case a semi-loose hubcap...

hope this helps...

A little more info...it only happens at low speeds and its on the right side not the left...also on some road surfaces I hear a little bit of a whining sound.. do any of you think this might be due to some sort of transmission problem?

Do transmissions make sounds all the time or just intermintantly? I let my girl friend dirve it a couple of times and I hope she didnt mess anything up.

Thanks for all the kind welcomes..its good to be home ;)

When I got my box back from the shop...there was a brake cover that was a little loose...and was making kind of a grinding noise and when I would turn hard to the left it would make a whining noise...I took it back to the shop they put it up on the lift and tightened it up...it's fine now...

INFO UPDATE: It only seems to happen when I press the Accellerator... I have an automatic slush box btw
