Default Pocket Delete - Custom Fab!!! Thanks Allen

So I finally got my new HU installed and wow guess what dash install kit adds yet another pocket to the already million and 50 other pockets that the xb comes with, so my friend had this cool concept and we decided to go for it, a pocket delete.

Off

ON

thanks to my friend allen and his many talents the pocket delete was finalized around 2:30 am... I am tired cause i had to be at work at 7am but it was well worth it. the leds are not the right color i wanted blue and they are more of a sea green aqua color so i will be fixing that next payday.

what ya think?

ps just incase anyone was curious how it was done, we just cut a slit on each side of the pocket cut the plexi glass to fit sanded the corners to make them round and then we printed out the scion in porsche ultra font onto some adhesive and cut it out with a blade... then pulled off everything but the scion and sand blasted the plexi... threw some led's behind and hooked it to a switch and that was about it.

total time was about 5 hours... first time my friend had ever tried anything like it so it was trial and error until we got it right... believe it or not. we got it right on the first shot.

what I'd like is a cover for the stereo to hide it when its not in use... or for that matter with the case of my aftermarket double din when it is too

i seen a couple of good ideas like taking the factory double din face plate off and using it.. also seen a closable pull down drawer type thing... not sure what/if i could come up with anything... i'm still trying to figure out how im goin to flip my setup around i'd rather the pocket be on top instead of bottom... and thus making the tv sit lower in the car.
