Hey all

I noticed today when I was making a 90 degree turn (full right turn into a parking lot) my steering wheel felt alot harder to turn.

Initially, I thought I might have a flat. I pulled over, and noticed if I turned the wheel 45 DEGREES either way, it felt like my steering wheel hit a brick. I was able to turn it PAST that, but it was more manual - and there was no 'power steering assistance' feel at all.

Does this sound like I just need to add some power steering fluid, or something else? (Oh, my tires are fine btw)

I've got a 2004 xb, with 130k miles

check fluid first for sure, it's the cheapest!

 

Indeed - uh, wheres the power steering located in the engine bay? Never had to check before, never crossed my mind even...lol, 2004 xb, 130k miles, no major issues - can't complain

 

Not sure on the XB, should be pretty obvious though. Check in owners manual for exact location.
