Default Question for Camo Green Owners.

I am having trouble deciding between Camo Green and Thundercloud Metallic. I know the TCM will be easy to keep clean, but how about the Camo Green? I have a black car now, and I'm not doing that again!

Is the Camo Green metallic at all? How does it look in direct sun?

Any pics would be FANTASTIC!

Thanks!

Jeremy

Ditto what hotbox05 said. In the right light it does look grey. Camo green was MADE for the xB!!

It looks great from any direction and any light. The name actually fits the color. It looks different from every angle. Just like any car it looks its best when it's clean but it doesn't really show dirt that well.

Here are some pics of mine. This is the most recent. I hadn't washed it in a week and I put 700 miles a week on.

These are all before it was lowered and obviously the graphics.

Here's a good shot of mine and a badbasic's at Scr8pfest 2004 so you can really see what the colors look like side by side.

I have a TCM. Given the choice, I'd have gotten a different color, as the TCM is so common.

i dont know about you max2k but i find it hard to keep my clean. i originally thought TCM would not show dirt a lot but it really does. i wash mine car all the time and it shows every little spec still. they had a Camo at the local dealer and it was filthy and looked fine. personally, I find my TCM to be too common and too dirty. maybe thats just me. i would go with camo probably

max2k and sexyscionlover--Wow! I really appreciate your honesty! You don't see that very often!

I think I AM leaning towards the camo green. It's pretty unique and just pretty cool in general.

Say, what do you guys think of the X decal that you can get put on the front fenders? I saw a camo with gray "X" and I really thought it looked good.

I agree. I have a camo green xB and it looks very "manly."

It s a nice shade of green that changes slightly in the light
and doesn't look like all the other greens out there.
As for hiding the dirt, well... maybe. I like to keep my clean.
A nice coat of wax will help a lot.

I have a camo, and I can't imagine owning another color. I originally wanted either BCP or BOP, but deep down I wished they had the "grey" color that is in one of the scion bookets I was looking at (TRD turbo one). I finally realized that the "grey" was actually camo, and I am so glad I did...

i have camo and absolutely love it. i think its the best color out of all the colors. i like TCM but it was just to common for me. the best thing about camo is that it looks like so many different colors at different angles and light. when i 1st got it, almost every person thought it was either black or gray until they saw the right angle.

I've got camo and love it. More unique than thundercommon metallic. Pretty much every xb I see around here is tcm or white. Only downside with camo is that hard water spots show up real easy.

I got the camo and would'nt of got any other color. It looks dark grey with a hint of green when the sun is not shining, and green with a hint of grey when the sun is out. The more I see it the more I like it. Besieds the TCM is by far the most common, and isn't some of the reason we buy these boxes is because they are different.

These two shots were taken within minutes. Looks pretty clean here:

Here's a closeup. This was after driving back from Bakersfield to Livermore and then to work a couple of days before I got a chance to wash it:

It has a lot of metal flake in it. The actual paint name is Dark Grayish Olive Metallic Clearcoat - You can see why they called it Camo...

This was my first and only choice when I was looking to buy - Do they have a Dark Green? Yes. Sold. The only shade I would've maybe liked better was if they would've used a British Racing Green, nice and dark. That would look tight with a couple of offset white stripes... but I dig the Camo they used.

I was originally going to go with BOP.
My girlfriend saw a camo one driving around and said I would really like it. I then had to track down a dealer that had one on its lot to look at. 3 dealers later I found one.
Side by side were the BCP, BOP and the camo. Camo was my choice. They are rare in my neck of the woods, especially a 5 speed. My car is filthy and looking at it today in the sun light light it didn't really look that bad.

Go CAMO!!!
