i was driving kinda fast yesterday when suddenly i saw a dip and didnt slow down fast enough. i thought i heard a scrape when i went into the big dip, so i pull over to see did i scratch the bottom of the bumper. i found nothing, nothing scraped. if my mom found out that i got a messed up bumper, she will take the xB away then give me her old nissan van, since both are her cars...

before i got my rims, i was on stock alloys with s-tech springs. and boy, here in hawaii lots of messed up drive ways. anyway i've done a bunch of scraping on the front lip thank goodness it's not fiberglass or it would be in the shop getting fixed. as for my under carriage i've not scrapped it. but i've scraped my exhaust once while going out of this horrible driveway, i was so happy i cleared the front i straightened out too fast and didn't think it would by my exhaust scraped. which i thought was weird.

The only thing I have scraped is my front hubcaps!! Lots of high curbs around here I guess ;-)

I have never dragged belly. I am on 17" rims and tein Stechs. Plus i have the GTspec front lower frame brace and the rear TRD lower frame brace. I only have 4" of space between the belly and the road. Also i live in colorado (worst roads in USA)

It would be tough to drag the bottom of the car, but it is easy to drag the front lip, and to curb the hubcaps and front and rear skirts.

Luckily, on a polar white xB, white electrical tape is a near-perfect match for the paint!

I've scraped the frame rails numerous times already. I'm even missing the end cap of one of the frame rails by the gas tank!

I've scraped the under carriage a few times driving on dirt roads with uneven terrain. . Didn't seem to dent anything.

I've banged it on the drive to my house. I live in crappy student area, so the driveways all have ridiculously weird angles off the street.

I'm feeling tempted to lose the stock body kit, since I wouldn't bang anything and I saw a pic of a pretty cool-lookin' xb without the kit stuff .

I think that it is a function of driving style. I had a ride in a SCCA ProRally car through a practice stage a couple of years ago. It sounded and felt like someone was pounding the botton of the car with big hammers. The car kept on running!

Now, I seldom scrape my xB, but then again I pay for the repairs on that car!

I was thinking about doing the same, thought it would make the car standout from the rest, but I was wondering, regarding the front lip, would the radiator be exposed at the bottom?

ive seen a xB without the lips. it looks horrible. if you take off the front lip. nothing will be haning down. its a lip so nothing is connected to it i think
