Question for xB owners, both models
[quote="HeathenBrewing"]
Because it is xB1 owners that are making such a fuss about things. 90%+ of the the drama is caused by xB1 owners. The only thing they have in common is the name, and NOTHING you are anyone else says will be able to change that. Its wasted energy.
I too am proud of my box, but I just don

On a different note... If it is "just a car" to you, why are you so worried about the way we feel???
Also, the xB is not to be referred to as a 1st gen xB. It is just an xB Period!!! The xB2 is the only one that needs to be clarified.
Okay, I see that a clarification is in order. This post was suppose to be FUN, looking at possible nicknames for the xB2. I thought Loaf of Bread was kinda fun, although I like the toaster oven suggestion.
As much as I love my xB, I really cannot poo poo Toyota for changing it. The design is from 1999, so of course they are looking to sell NEW cars, not just rehash older designs. . The xB2 seems to be selling well, as I see them all of the time on the road. Dare I suggest that they may actually be selling faster than the xB when it initially was released?
I suppose at some point in the future, several years down the road, Toyota will come out with a third generation of xB. Hopefully, xB2 owners won't have a stroke over any new design changes. Hey, maybe the xB3 will look like a waffle iron. Maybe the B stands for Breakfast. Who knows, but come on people, shall we have some fun discussing our vehicles and comparing notes.
Please, lets keep this topic fun. If there are xB owners who feel THAT strongly about the new xB, please feel free to go to the SCION dealership, cover yourself with gasoline, and light yourself on fire in protest. For the rest of us, lets just chat and have fun.

I feel someone at Scion/Toyota is having a good ole time seeing how much the whole xB2 thing is Pi$$ing off the xB owners. They could have simply updated the xB with mild upgrades like bigger a engine or side airbags. They sure didn't need to invent a whole different vehicle and just slap the beloved xB emblem on it. I feel this vehicle is being crammed down our throats and we are just suppossed to accept it with open arms.
I truely understand what this thread is all about but to me this is just a way to try and sugar coat the real feelings. Maybe this would have been better placed in the xB2 forum.
P.S. the only reason the xb2 sells faster is that they can get them over here faster than they were the xb originally . there was a six week waiting period.

I've always been with bBSNER here. the xB2 is not an xB. Toyota had told everyone they were going to put out 2 completly different models, body, name, etc.
well they came out with the xD, and the new xB2, they lied. The xB2 looks like everything else on the road, it blends in. Which is not what the xB was all about. the xB was to stand out and be different. I understand toyota wanted to sell vehicels, but why drag a great nameplate through the mud.
