Default Radio ID

I have a 2005 Xb.
I'm trying to get the radio ID to sign up for Sirus Radio.
The manual says to press the 2 or 3 buttons and get the
display to read 000.
I can't get this to happen. Any ideas.
The radio is the stock Pioneer

Reread the manual carefully. Make sure you are reading the instructions carefully. Are you sure it is the correct model manual/radio?

Try sat channel one or zero. That's what generally works.

Yes, sat button and use the tune **** to get to 001 or 000 whichever it says.

Then wait a couple seconds and it will show Radio ID

Thanks for the replies but when I press the SAT
button nothing happens. No channel number
ever appears. I'd really like to get this figured out.

You don't have a sat tuner and probably don't have a antenna either. Both can be obtained from trdsparks or your friendly neighborhood stealership.

Oh yeah, you have to buy a module from Sirius which plugs into your radio. If i remember correctly, that module should have the number i think. but i dont have sat, so dont quote me on that.

Check the back of the car to see if you have one of these:

If you don't, then you need the Sat module, or an aftermarket radio which supports a built in sat receiver. I've seen them go for under $100 from the dealerships, you might be able to get one fairly cheap.

That was my problem. I don't have a receiver nor antenna.
Local Toyota dealer said $400
