We have a silver xB and got the white kit - we like it a lot. Without it, the interior seems very dark. It operates when the headlights (or parking lights) are on - with a dash switch. Took probably an hour and 1/2 to install at a leisurely, contemplative pace.

Can it be turned off or is it designed to be on when the headlights are activated?

Thanks!

I believe they are tied to the headight "circuit" - You can only turn them on (or off) when the headlights (or parking lights) are on. I hope that answers your question - drop Randy an e-mail - he's a great Scion resource.

top notch. very worth it. "too bright"? - perfect is more like it.
it took me 45 min. to install and i didn't know a thing about wiring. just changed the color tonight, infact. went from white to hot lava - now ever single light inside is orange (amber) including the speedo. but i digress...
he's got a quality kit, that's easy to install and when you're done, you'll wonder why you didn't do it earlier.

If you're not a do it yourself type, it's a nice kit. If you are a do it yourself type, you can achieve the same results for much less money.
