Really Small Paint Chips
My 06 SRP has the typical "dings" on the front of the hood. Can anyone tell me the easiest (or best) way to hide these? I'm sure I can get SRP paint somewhere but how would it go on? Someone long ago told me to pull a "real match" out of a matchbook cover and use the non-match end as a paintbrush ! ! Any ideas ?

I bought a toyota touch up paint pen off ebay for 12 bucks. it has the paint side, and a clear side. so just dab on the color, then after it dries, hit it with the clear. works really well. i'll see if i can find the link, they are on there all the time from the same seller.
for the really small ones , try using a toothpick. you can get the touch-up paint down inside the chip instead of just covering it over.
in between washings you can use a crayon of the closest color before you wax it. just get the surface warm and color in the chip, then buff with a soft cloth, until you find the time to use the touch-up paint.

I start by cleaning out the chips with 90% rubbing alcohol. Then place a dab of paint on small piece of cardboard. I use toothpics that have had the tips mushed slightly. They make the perfect little brush for putting the paint right where you want it. After it dries use some clearcoat touch up next. If you want to get real fancy you can then wetsand the clearcoat with some 2000 grit and buff to a shine.
Hey... Thanks much for your responses. I was able to find the "paint pen" on Ebay so thanks to "bbszero69". I'll let you know how it works. Also, for "hobaud" . . . . . if the pen doesn't work, I'll use it to write on my dashboard " Don't Look At The Chips"
