If you can't do it, you should probably have someone else do it for you, cause you'll probably like reinstalling the brakes even more than removing them.

actually with drum brakes to get the drum off you just take off the wheel, smack the face of the drum a few times with your patented fix-everything-under-the-sun tool, aka the BFH (big frickin hammer) and just pull it straight off.

the hammer loosens it up so you can pull it off since it is pressed on very tight from when you tighten the wheel into place.

actually, there are two threaded holes in the face of the drum (8mm I believe). Insert two bolts into the holes and tighten. As you turn them, the drum gets pressed off.

These fancy foreign cars! What will they think of next!!!

I was just going off any other car with drums I have ever worked on, plus its always fun to beat things with the 5 lb hand held sledge.

After you take off the drums, how hard is it to change the studs, say if you were putting on some spacers?

I recomment you not use wheels spacers. Instead use the devices / inserts sold by One Ton garage to move the entire drum assembly out 9MM. This makes the back spacing to the wheel opening the same as the front and solves most rear wheel clearance issues. Much safer than wheel spacers and then you do not have to worry about longer studs. The installation is simple.

There's a DIY in the Tech section on how to change the wheel studs. Very thorough and done with simple tools...
