Default Release Series 2.0 STOLEN - Tampa Bay Area

Hey guys, just getting this out there, hoping it might help - It seems that our Yellow xB was stolen some time last night or early this morning - It was just gone from the driveway this a.m.

Identifying Features:The license plate # is R67 8QM and there is a death cab for cutie sticker on the rear passenger side window, a yellow robot on the left rear passenger side window, a 'hawaiian' style flower on the top right of the rear window, and a yellow sticker with a bunch of flip flops in the bottom center of the rear window. Currently looks all stock except for being lowered slightly. Edit: From my ScionLife profile (whew) 2005 Solar Yellow xB RS02 #0820

If anyone has any information please call the Pinellas Park Police dept (Edit: PPPD #: 727-541-0758 - Report # 2008-9122) or PM me - I will be checking this through the day.... This sucks!

Edit: One neighbor says she heard my xB drive off at ~5am and another neighbor says her husband walked outside around 5 and saw two guys trying to get into my Subaru STi and told them to leave - they are going to dust my STi so hopefully they find something... Edit: He said they were white males about 5'9"

Sorry to hear.

All of the identifying stickers and such might be removed. What was thr RS# on the dash plaque? That might not be removed and could help ID since it is an RS. And EZ to see.

Good luck...

man, good luck with the incident. it's just not cool to see that people are so low as to take others' possessions... just keep at it, and I'm sure you'll find it !

be careful as they most likely will be packing a full jar of short man syndrome.

You know that can be treated with baby aspirin, right?

@BlueSix: joking aside, that sucks about your car. Let's hope it turns up before anything happens to it. On the other hand, if they got your STi, it probably would have been wrapped around a tree within a quarter mile of your house.

I appreciate the comments everyone, but I'm having less hope as more time goes by... There hasn't been any word from the police and I have a feeling that it's probably in a chop shop somewhere, unless it was joyriders. If it were joyriders, they picked a dumb (noticable) car, and if they were parting it out, I'd think that a RS 2.0 xB would be a fairly low-demand car, but what do I know...

Right now I'm assuming the worst and wondering how the claim will be handled by Progressive tomorrow. I've never had a car stolen before - does anyone know if they give you the market value of the car, or what your loan was, or ??? If it's just the Blue Book value that they give, I will be bummed. I miss my box!

Man, that sucks. SOrry to hear it.

Usually ins. companies give blue book, value. That sucks too.

If the police catch them, tell them you won't press charges if they give you 20 minutes in a locked room alone with them. Then beat them to death with thier own arms. Always makes me feel better.

Sorry fellow Yellow driver. Your neighbor didn't think to call the cops when he saw someone trying to get in your car?? I agree that they are not too bright to be taking a yellow box--just does not blend in. I would start compiling info on the selling/asking price for cars with your mileage. I am sure they will try to low ball you if it comes to that. Make sure they know it is a limited edition.

DAMN...that sucks. And it had to be a 2.0...That's why I got a detachable steering wheel and put the Autolock on at all times. I know the feeling of getting a car stolen when thieves took my Civic. I vow NOT to let something like that happen again. Car thieves deserve to get their ___ kicked.

Sorry to hear of your situation and hope for the best outcome. Hate to say it but usually the safest plan is outta sight (in the garage). If they want it that bad they will have to break into my shop and move my wife's Jeep first to get mine.
