When you use the remote to unlock and lock the car, should it not honk the horn letting you know it did something? I just picked up my car yesterday and noticed it did not beep like any other car I have owned in the past.

Is there a way to turn this feature on? I would like it to beep if possible when I lock the car.

First gen xB? My lights flash and it goes "click click". FYI, pressing unlock once will unlock the driver door, and unlock twice iunlocks them all. I want to say there is something in the manual about what the behavior is supposed to be for this, but mine has never beeped, just flashes.

 

My xB1 doesnt beep, it only flashes when i lock or unlock.

 

Same here. I want it to honk because.thats what all my cars do and have done. I noticed as well if a door does not close all the way it wont lock either! Kinda cool but if it beeped it would make more sense.

They don't beep. just flashes.

 

Not the worst thing in the world - just give it a glance when you lock it up.

 

or you can pay someone to install aftermarket alarm. they do beep when locked/unlocked
