Default Repainting an xB

Although we love our Polar white and Blue Onyx Pearl 06's, I think a bright red xB would really look hot. I'm not talking about Salsa red, (no offense to anyone) but a bright red. One issue of Siphon had an xB that was kind of a deep red, but it had a lot of graphics.
Does anyone have pics of a solid bright red repainted xB? Also, would a total repaint decrease the value of the vehicle? I have a body shop in town I feel comfortable with, but haven't taken the time to ask for a quote. Any idea what it should cost to do it right? You know, under the hood, door jambs, steelies? (that would look cool). I welcome your thoughts.

Cost to do a super job should be $3-6,000. Requires complete body disassembly. Value of the car to anyone that desires anything custom should be better (as long as the paintwork is as good or better than factory).

Beautiful xB Ted. I appreciated the pics in your profile of the teardown before paint, kinda gives me a good perspective. We aren't in a position right now to do my wife's but it's good to have the info. Again, love the paint on your xB. The Hooter's girls aren't bad either. BTW, do you know where Forest Park is? I grew up there when I was a kid.

Red would be an awsome color for the xB. I wish one of the RS's were red. No metallic.
Here is one of my favorite xB's

Yeah, the RS2.0 could have been red instead of the yellow if ya ask me. They could have given that yellow color to an RS xA instead.

This is a guy i used to cruise with, he has since sold the box unfortunately. The picture does not do it justice, the red was so bright that it almost hurt to look at, but at the same time you couldn't look away.

^^^ I'm so sick of hearing people do that.

I think I'm one of the very few people that actually took the legit route & paid for my color change.

well good for you

what i'm sick and tired of hearing is folks who get student loans to pimp their cars and or second mortgages to pimp out their cars.(not saying you did either of those)

Cuz you know keying a car & pulling fraud is so much better. At least with mortgage payments & student loans you have to eventually pay it back.

& just for the record, I did neither. I work 60+ hours a week & go to school full time without any aid.

ah but using the student loans is fraudulent as well.

and I was being real , good for you spending hard earned cash to fix up your car , I as well have fixed my car's up with hard earned cash. I don't go to school anymore but I work all the time just to pay bills , and fix up my cars

swallowing a few grand at once for a paintjob r a motorswap are the only things I've yet to do (and that I want to do) to both of my vehicles

I think the red should have replaced the RS3 instead...

Rs3.0 is my second favorite right behind the lava. Maybe red as rs4 then. I wasn't a fan of the yellow they chose cause my wife has a yellow Jeep.

Thanks for the pics. Those two xB's in red look great. I'm really inspired now... gotta show the wife and get her to agree to get hers painted bright-bright red. I'll keep mine bright white, though.
