Default Road Paint Removal?

I had to drive through some road construction a few days ago, but just now noticed today as I was wiping my xB down that there are white flecks everywhere! All over the front, some on the quarter panels, even above the windshield, and a little on my carbon fiber hood. I tried using my nail on some of the flecks and they either didnt come off, or barely chipped off with some remains.

Is there any way to safely remove this immortal white paint without destroying my [black pearl] paint/CF Hood? Thanks in advance!

Adding pics, if it matters. I'm hoping the glare isn't too bad to see:

If you catch it fast enough, mineral spirits will take it off. Otherwise, you may have to use rubbing compund and rub each one off. Then buff and polish.

Sorry for that.

Road paint can be some of the hardest substance known to man to remove from you car. Around here it come right off the road though !!!

Like another poster said, you may need to buff with rubbing compound. That paint is tough!!

I saw a car the other day that had run over the yellow paint. It looked like the idiot was right behind the paint truck because it was up the whole sides from behind each wheel. Kinda looked like it would if you just drove over a muddy road. This idiot was screwed. Her only hope was a body shop and a complete repaint !!

I actually used some old Bug & Tar remover my dad bought about 9 years ago and it did the job but with a lot of elbow work. So, I went to autozone and got some Turtle Wax Bug, Tar, & Tree Sap remover (which also specified paint spots and stubborn stains on the back) which worked wonders compared to the aged product. I'm almost done getting it all off since it takes a while to get each speck. It also has no effect on my finish/clear coat as long as it isn't used in direct sunlight or on a warm surface of the car.

Much <3 for Turtle Wax!
