Rockblocker is Awesome
I wanted to share with everyone here why I think rockblocker is awesome and why you should think about getting it if you don't have it. For those of you who don't know what rockblocker is, it is a clear bra made out of 7 or 8 mil material that protects your cars front end.
I want to say that I am just glad that I chose to have Rockblocker put on my xB right after I bought it. Arizona is really bad with rocks being thrown up on cars and chipping the paint. Well I had a little mishap over the weekend and I am so thankful that I had Rockblocker on the box. I was following a buddy in his xB while we were rollin out to a meet and we were crusin up one of he freeways and well he decided to change lanes and I noticed as he changed lanes that he threw up a nice rubber chunk of a tire that was in the road. I see this piece of rubber with the steel belts that bounced up well I look left, there was a car in the lane next to me. I look right same thing, so I couldn't swerve to miss it.
Well since I couldn't get out of the way I hit this nice piece of someones blown tire. As I hit this tire chunk I hear a big Thud on my front end. I was like
oh no that didn't sound too good. Well once we got to where the meet was I was scared to look at the passenger front side of he car. I noticed a nice big black mark on the front of the car. I take my hand and rub on the mark and what do you know it whiped off with no trouble. I was so thankful that I decided to put rockblocker on my car. I protected my car and there was no scratch or damage to it.
This was not the first time that this happened to me. I also had a very similar incident when I was driving home from work a couple weeks ago. This product is amazing and I would suggest this to anyone that is not wanting to get any rock chips. And no Rockblocker didn't put me up to writing this but I wanted to share my personal experience why I think its a great product. It is worth its money in my opinion.
Thanks Rockblocker for a great product.

I have been a little intrigued by this product for a while now. How much did it cost you? Did you do it yourself or have it done? Is it meant to stay on always, or do you remove it to wax? Are you worried about the paint fading differently over time? Am I asking too many questions?
Well this is nice to read first thing in the morning Mooneyzs. We appreciate the kind words and the happiness you have with our products. As always if you need anything please let us know.
Matt - I will help answer some of those questions for you.
1. - We installed the kit before he even drove the car off the lot.
2. The price will depend on what kit you get and how much the installer charges for the install. Figure 200-500.
3. The paint will not fade under the product since it has built inhibitors with a nice clear coat finish to the film. You will want to wash and wax the entire car as well as the product as often as you can for that new car look.
If you have any other questions please let us know.
Chad

Thanks for answering those questions. Here are a few more.
So do I order the product from you and then have it installed elsewhere? Who would I contact (ie. a paint shop...window tinting place)?? Also, as for #3
I am actually more worried about the paint under the film not fading at the same rate as the rest of the car. Our cars are garage kept while at home and I always try to keep a good coat of wax on them, but over the years the paint will fade a little. Oh, one last thing....Do you mean that once the film is on the car, that I would wax over it when I do the rest of the car?

You would order from us.
We have someone in Central Pa and NJ if either are close for you to get it installed
The paint will not fade under the film since it has another layer of clear coat. You will actually want to make sure you wax the rest of car since it only has the one layer, but YOU do wax the product as well since it does have a clear coat.

ATTN: I think that xB hood bra is very necessary or that rockblocker HAHAH.. why?
Becasuse I normally drive on the freeway and yes there is a lot of debris. Unfortunately I was the victim of an incomming piece of either bark or rock and it hit my car. Thinking that, "Oh nothing bad could happen to my front end" and that everything will be ok. Nope!!! Later I checked my hood and bam... big dent and scratch...
So I think a rockblocker or that xB bra you get at the dealership is sorta of a must! heheh Just becasue....I just don't want any of you to feel what I feel.
haha dang, I wish I could post photos hahaha but I don't want any of you to cry...

This product is really worth its money. Its only a couple hundred dollars
Chad I can't wait to see marks hood all wrapped. I'm taking a wild guess that it is his that you are doing.
We just had one of the guys here who also has a R.S. 2.0 that didn't have rockblocker on his car and he got a nice big rock chip on his hood. It sucks that it had to happen

Thanks again Chris for taking the time to post about our products and your thoughts. Some people are just negative in life. I am sure if a retread hit a vehicle that was unprotected there would have been more damage and they would have been ____ed about it.
Dont be a jerk, people come on here all the time to try and get through the cracks and sell shyt. I thought this smelled funny, didnt say you guys are scamming or anything of the kind. My post wasnt negative, thanks for implying I'm negative in life though, really makes me not want to buy your product. Its a shame the mods gave me my final warning for bad language, cause this would read differently....

As for buying product from us - to each his/her own.
Just leave it alone since it has no relevance as to what the thread is about.
Why would rockblocker come in here trying to slide thru the cracks trying to sell his product when he is a Silver Sponsor.
Here is the definition of what a Silver Sponsor entitles:
"There are many small retailers that don't require intensive banner advertising. ScionLife rules prohibit regular members from placing commercial advertising in the forums so the Silver Sponsorship is the minimum campaign needed to sell your product or service.
With this plan your forum account will be upgraded with access to the Sponsored Sales forum, where you may post ads for products, services or group buys. Your account will display a silver sponsor icon so everyone can see that you are a ScionLife supporter.
You will also have access to post five links to your product pages within our Parts Review area. When members are researching products for their car your business name, link and price will be located just under a heading that reads: "Where can I buy this item?". "
I would like to know what is the difference from me expressing my opion on how great a product this is to .....let me use Randode as an example. Randy is a great guy and has awesome products as well. Many people get Vinyls made by him and Cold Cathodes. What is the difference if I was to say how happy I was with my cold cathodes from him or my vinyls or what ever I may of bought from him. Would that still be an assumption as a disguised Advertisement?? You can think what you want but Rockblocker wasn't being a jerk about anything.
