You could just buy a new one for not much more than a used one. Factor in shipping and you end up about even.

best deal i have been able to find online for new is $355 shipped. that includes...

towers
cross bars
clips
locks
fairing

the standard retail at the store is about $430 for all of that tax and everything.

i'm with you in the search for a rack. i'm tired of not having enough space in the box when bringing the dogs with us somewhere. gonna have to take it to the roof i guess. with our bring-a-long stuff of course, not the dogs ;-)

i would say search craigslist in your local area and hope for the best.

What do you want for it? I'm NW of Chicago, and it would definitely be worth it to me to take half a day and come up and get it. You're only about two hours from me, and I really don't want to pay shipping.

I've been looking for a roof rack forever. This could rule.

How much you looking to sell for, and what pieces do you have? This could work out very very well. PM me, por favor!

towers

waiting on a key for the locks as i got the rack with no key.
I was thinking of trying to get $125, some of the paint on the towers is chipping off.

I am very interested. It's about 2 hours' drive to get it, though, and money is ridiculously tight right now. I think I'm gonna have to wait and see what my tax return is.

If only I had one more digit in my checking account, I'd be on my way already!

Default Special

Does the Xb take a special roof rack, or is it a 'universal' type?

I'm interested in getting something with a box on top!

you just have to have the right clips and towers, they make a bunch of different ones for a lot of different cars.

i have considered getting a removable roof rack for mine, for my road trips home. we are usually severely overloaded when we head back so something like that would be a great help

NOWAI. Can you post a link?? I can't find an "OEM" rack for less than like $350. I suck at comparison shopping.

I was about to drive to Wisconsin to buy kewlbox's peeling-paint rack!! (Still might...an "aged" rack will match my "aged" box, lol)

EDIT: NEVERMIND, I FOUND IT! :D

$214.50, extra $25 to ship from MA to IL.

Kewlbox, are you willing to go down to $100?
