Default Rough idle on 2005 xB

I'm familiar with the "rough idle' threads around here, and with TSB No. EG012-04.

I brought my 2005 xB (5-spd) into the dealer this morning for my first oil change and to take care of the rough idle (happens in neutral at a stop).

They took a look at it and said "they all do that." I called back saying there was a TSB for this (gave them the number). They called back and said that TSB was for 2004s only and there was nothing they could do.

First off, is this true?

Secondly, has anyone else had a rough idle in their 05 xB?

Third, will ground wires really take care of this?

How rough is it? Mine isn't too bad... I run the AC all the time so the idle is kicked up with the AC on. A good set of grounding wires might help... some Iridium plugs might help as well.

i wouldnt worry about it that much.... i like that sound of my xB i have a custom dc exhaust headers intake n stuff, n it has a nice low tone, and when i get on it the air like tumbes out of the exhaust n sounds sick.... also if im at a 4g rpm when let off the gass totally, it like has little cute backfires that r awsome.....i love it, wonder how itll sound with a turbo?...........

Thanks for the info, guys. I guess it is a fairly common thing and won't worry about it.

The idle isn't super bad, but it does vibrate the car a tad. When my foot if on the brake, I can feel it; I can feel it in the gear shift, too.

I have ground wire kits on both my xB's, it really smoothes out the idle......[/i]
