Default RS3 Question, PLEASE HELP!!!

My dealer called me to tell me that my RS3 has arrived , but its automatic . When I ordered it I told him that I wanted a 5 speed, now he is telling me that they might only come in auto. I dont really believe this but I just thought I would ask anyway. Does anyone know if there is any truth to what he is telling me?

Its up to you, I have a standard, 3 autos came to the Dallas area that were unsold and mine, a stick that was ordered came in a week later. The auto will give you a little more resale value, so it is only a savings up front to get the standard, but the dealer knows there are autos and standards, look at Scions web site it list both prices. You might have to wait or not even get one, but I bet he could trade with another dealer for a standard. I did see that only 5 sticks were allotted to the Gulf States area and that includes Texas which is a huge market.

Getting a manual may be somewhat difficult. I don't know exact numbers but I imagine that only about 30% of the RS 3's are manual. I would think the only way a dealer would make a trade is if they had someone interested in automatic but they got a manual.

that might be all you can get.. dealers only get a few alocated tot hem.. say thers 5 orders all for stick.. the dealer ges 2 stick one auto.. whos gets what? the order the down payments were placed in.

I second the notion to contact Joe at Peruzzi - I was just there on Saturday and he had a 5-speed RS3...but hurry! And it's right down Rt 309 (well, like 2 hours from Bloomsburg, but right down 309)...

And I have an RS2 with stick, so yes, the RS series do come in manual...

we ordered, and are still waiting for, our 3.0 in an automatic and we paid extra for that. So tht means they do come in a stick. But if ours comes in wrong too, we'll trade you!

Well its mine, I picked up my RS3 5-Speed last night from Joe at Peruzzi Scion. Let me tell you it was refreshing to find a Scion Dealer who actually knew the car. Thanks everyone for you help.

Hey Matt!! Thanks for coming so far to get such a sweet ride. It was a pleasure to work with a customer that knew the car so well. I really wanted to make sure that RS went to the right person and it definately did. You gotta bring it out to some of my meets and shows now....

...Sorry I was kind of rushing through things last night. I really wanted to get you on the road and on your way home because I knew you had a drive to make it back. Otherwise I would have chilled a little more and talked way more about Scion in general. I also meant to grab you a few shirts from the back but again in the time crunch it totally slipped outta my mind...

...Thanks to ScionLife for allowing cool things to happen. Because of this forum I was able to help out a great Scion customer who is now the happy owner of an xB RS 3.0 #180/2200...

...Im working on getting another RS from my DM.
