ummm... start your car - drive forward - apply your brakes! it happens to all cars and means nothing - it's what steel does... it's called flash - once your brakes are applied, it's gone in less than a second...

He might be talking about the parts that don't get rubbed by the pads. For that either get a caliper paint kit or clean off the rust you don't want and use a good quality high heat paint on them.

Hey Raven. What I meant was that if you had the zinc plated rotors then the zinc would protect the rotors anywhere the pads DIDN'T touch (like near the hub). Of course where the pads do make contact then the dust would be knocked right off but anywhere else it would be protected. Does that make any sense? lol
