Scion Art
Since the scion brand has seemed to be such a canvas to tuners, I decided to make some art of my own.

I drew it on paper for about an hour and then scanned it in and colored the windows and tires black to make them look better.
Feel free to comment (not too harsh, I'm sensitive) and submit your own peices of art (that could include your cars too).
PS it looks alot better in real life. I will try to put a better (bigger ) pic up when I have a better internet connection

DenZinz, thx but I cringe when I look at mine. Yours is awesome. Would love to see more of your artwork.
I am still working on my new drawing, a pic of Rhobz XB. Had wanted to paint it on my computer, but PaintShopPro sux, and I can't afford a better program. I am going to just paint it by hand, but gotta find the time.
Look at these links. These guys are my heros when it comes to doing car cartoons. Yikes!

Nice stuff guys... Nekstyle is off the hook too...
I don't know if you guys ever considered a Wacom tablet, but thats what I use. It gives you excellent control, you could draw straight over your original, or use it like an airbrush... http://www.wacom.com/graphire/index.cfm

I'm not into drawing a whole lot ( though I have taken some classes and really like sculpture) though I used to draw a whole lot when I was 5-12 (mostly airplanes and spaceships).
For that reason I probably wouldn't want to buy one of those pads, however I have heard that some people used the internet and some of the stores price match garuntees to actually make money (about 150$) by buying them and getting rebates.

The harder you push on the pen tip the more intensity your object on the screen will appear. Not to mention, turn the pen over and you have an eraser.
Christy>> Have you tried using Photoshop or Illustrator. Both are great professional programs and you can use them hand in hand.
Anyways, to clear things up, im really not a great freehand drawer, I cheated...YES I CHEATED..hehehe...That charcol drawing was simply a picture I took that I put a charcol filter on in Photoshop..
Im bad, i know...
Brat! Now that I look at it, the cross-hatching does all go perfectly in the same direction, which would be very hard to do by hand. But I have seen artists using that syle by hand.
Have always wanted one of those stylus and pad sets. But, damn... $200 for that and $649 for Photoshop or $499 for Illustrator. Anyone know where to get them for less than that?
I think one of the hardest things about drawing cars from your imagination is trying to fill in the body color. A shiny car is like a mirror. You have to imagine the light source, then the scene in front of the car, then imagine how it would be reflected on the car, where exactly the highlights and lowlights would fall on the body, and what color those reflections would be (and how they would be altered by the color of the car itself). It's really, really difficult. In most of the pics of XBs that I have, they are sitting next to other XBs, so the reflections are of that. It's hard to imagine sunsets, beaches or palm trees on them, lol.
