Default Scion Import

I've ordered a scion xA past 3 months ago now which is 12 weeks. I bought an Indego Ink(blue) stick, 2005 xA. So I waited because the dealer said they are importing it from Japan. They said 8 -12 Weeks and its been past that! I never get an estameted delivery date he just calls me and says "Well I cant promise anything...". Im getting really impatient..does anyone know why it takes so long?(I've already made a downpayment and signed the papers so im not getting ripped off like people tell me)

kind sir:

i know its not really any consolation, but salesman are INTENTIONALLY vague. you are getting not a run-around but just a case of i-dont-know-whats-what-itis. please be patient and understand that time frames are jsut estimates and they dont want to tell you anything definite and get your hopes up and then make you more irate than you are now when it doesn't come in in the specified timeframe. who knows, it may be on its way as i write. im sorry for your misfortune, but please relax and i hope this helps.

I took delivery of a tC in 4 weeks. 8-12 for an xA seems off to me. GO to a different dealer.

My local scion dealer told me 45 god damn days to get an xA. Couldnt wait that long to get a new car. So I bought a Honda. :-D

but I am considering another try at getting a Scion.

well to order it from another country it does take 8-12 weeks or more as for getting your tc that fast I bet you my car it was allocated... no way you can import a car that fast unless it was already on the way...

Call up other dealers to see if they can get you one. Seriously, it only takes 5 minutes a call.

When I got my xA, I called up to 7 dealerships. 3 of them said it'll take 2-3 weeks to get the xA I want. 2 said they are getting another shipment in 2 weeks. Another one said there is none in the area in the color I want...

The last dealership had one in the lot. Polar white, 5 spd, no options.

Only took 2 days to get my xA.

Default indigo ink

Sorry to hear about your plight.

Indigo ink is a 6 month wait according to the dealer in Selma, CA. I had to wait a week for my Phantom Grey Pearl to be delivered since I wanted a Manual. Picked up my manual today.

They still have the Phantom Grey Pearl Automatic on the lot and it's been there a week now. If you want this color and transmission take a run down to Selma Toyota. Talk to Vang Lee - he's a good salesperson. He sold me mine. I test drove it and it rides good but I wanted that extra gear plus I am an avid stick shifter!

The 2 other Scion dealers in my area don't have any xA's. It's the hottest car out there now and Dealers can't keep them on their lots. Especially the manual.
