Scion Ramp van for handicapped
Several specialty manufacturers have followed through on Scion's view that our boxes are uniquely adaptable to serve people with disabilities. One of them even offers a "kneeling" feature to facilitate wheelchair access through rear hatch (which, as BRNTTOAST's photo shows,
has itself been lengthened down into the rear bumper/fascia).
I've talked to a number of folks who, knowing someone with a disability, have asked to get a "tour" of my xB's interior spaces---and have seriously considered getting one with some of the mods shown in the links below. Our boxes really DO lend themselves to people (whether disabled, temporarily non-ambulatory, or elderly) needing easy access, high(er) seating, and abundant room for storing walkers, wheelchairs, etc. In fact, I think Scion would do these folks a huge service by putting out MORE in the way of publicity, promotion, and information to the many organizations that help these individuals . . .

It does beat the mini-van conversions hands down. I love my RampBox and wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I can actually parallel park in the city and I don't suffer as much at the gas pump.
This is mine.
