Wow, I don't think its crazy, at least he has something
to show for his eccentric ness other than a few paragraphs
on a server somewhere. At least this is his own, as
I'm sure his car is. I'd only be concerned if this person
is leasing the car, then got a tattoo.

if you were in the Army and got a Army tattoo and then after 10 years you got out...... would the tattoo no longer have any meaning?

My favorite explination for that comes from some TV show where a guy had a Kanji on his arm and a Japanese guy told the tattoo owner the following:

"Of two men, who love each other, you are the one who plays the woman!"

But seriously, seems like the OP likes the tatto and obviously means something to him! Congrats on the new tattoo!

 

Something tells me you'll be researching laser tattoo removal in like 5 years. Nice tattoo and I applaud you for it... but seriously... long term? Would have been cooler to have been more automotive themed rather then brand specific.

Tats can symbolize something in your life....or a time in your life. I also was thinking of getting the Scion logo tated on my left arm. Not because of Scion itself, but because of all the joy the brand has brought me the past 2 and a half years and Im not leaving it anytime soon. I wouldnt regret it....people can ask you about it when you get old......and Im sure you will be able to tell them stories for hours....Congrats !!

 

the scion xB has been a BIG part of my life since mid 04.
this is the coolest and funnest car ive ever owned it was also my first new car. im sure some day the car will be gone but it will never loose meaning to me.
if you real must know i didn't grow up untill my first marrage ( 5 years of hell ) after the devorce i realy wanted to get on with my live. i had nothing when i left her and i do mean nothing.
in 1 1/2 years i paid off the loyar, 6k of dept and got a car and a truck by working 2 jobs. this car was my end goal, my dream. so this tattoo has ALOT of meaning to me about a mile stone, an large accomplishment.

top- happiness
bottom - luck

 

I'd designed a very cool VW graphic back in 97.....2 VW's and 10 years later, still would love to have it on my leg....it wasn't large, mind you.....but showed a time in my life, as all tats should....

 

heard theres a whole topic in the news about companies lookig into tattoing and trying to get people to tattoo themselves with brands and logos since tattoos are now the norm and its like walking advertizement for them...

I got a tattoo dedicated to my scion build but i didnt tattoo scion on me i choose something more symbolic of what ive gone thru...but kudos if your happy with it...thats all that matters

 

Looks good, I would have left it in black and gray, but thats just my style.

I will be getting a Scion tat soon as well, it will be an out line of a 1st gen xB with some other items tied in(not sure what yet) in memory of my mom. She had a 06 salsa red pearl xB and loved that car, so I am getting a tat of the xB to always remember the good times that I was able to spend with her at car shows and in the car club.

so please don't tell people that they should not have gotten something b/c you may not know why they have it. I know people will ask me what it means and why I got it and I will be PROUD to tell them why I have it.

 

lol those letters are funny. top one cud mean, struggling, spicy, or happy. bottom means luck? why those characters?
