I have a 2005 and I've been the only owner and put about 95,000 on it so far. The only real thing I have had to do so far is replace the rear drivers side wheel bearing at 80k.

I know I will have a couple things to do around the corner but we'll see what goes first.

Limited Edition 2005 XB and aside from normal blades, tires, 4 batteries in 11 years nothing wrong. I would buy another in a heartbeat if I could find one.

'03 xB bought new 7/03 here -- 156K+ and still going. I just spent an afternoon making it "less modified" with the intention of trading it in, but after reading this thread I'm tempted to hang on ...

'06 xB bought new in '06. Regular maintenance. It has 155,000 last oil change. I added a cruise control. Swapped the OEM stereo for a Kenwood, plus added Sirius XM radio module, because Toyota wanted 3 times what the new radio cost, including the sat module just to upgrade. One tail light went out. (Bulb socket was broken.) I replaced both tail lights with a set of aftermarket LED tail lights (brake & turn lights are incandescent) again, OEM replacement was more expensive than the set. Other than that, I don't think I've even replaced the battery. (Knock on wood!) Oh, yeah, I've replaced brake pads and will soon need struts/shocks, but the old ones are not leaking. I also added a trailer hitch to occasionally tow a little 3x4 ft Harbor freight kit trailer with a roof pod mounted on it for extra luggage on long trips--- mostly it gets used as a bike rack mount.

i have my 06 camo green. the motor is shot as the intake manifold is ruined.. may part it out, trying to sell it in whole on the classified section.. if i get no interest ill probably replace the motor when the weather changes... well see

I have about 60K miles on my '06 Camo with a stick. It keeps going without any major problems . . . which I'd expect for such low miles (and easy miles, too, as it's my commuter that gets to go about 13 miles to work and 13 miles home on mostly county roads).

2006 Scion

My Red 06' Scion has been great. I am the original owner. 58K miles.

I just replaced the spark plugs. 2nd set of tires, and still the original brakes. lol. I drive it like a 98 year old grandmother.

Planning on doing the brakes when it warms up a bit here in WI. I love this car. It's simple. It works, and other than odd drop in Mileage, to like 19mpg, I like it. Once I figure that out. After 10 years I changed the plugs. NGK and gapped them at 044. The original Denso's were dirty and gapped at .060... The new plugs make it a bit peppier. Well maybe...

The manual for the NGK spark plugs says .031 I just did the front brakes last night. changing the Engine Coolant and and transmission flush this week.

O'Reilly Auto Parts wants $13.49 for a Transmission drain plug washer....lololol. Not.

I have an 05 with 172,000. Bought it at 130,000 and have since replaced all fluids, both drive belts, accessable filters and basic maintenance. Still has original brake shoes, suspension parts and motor parts. No leaks of any kind, original water pump too.

2006 Box that F'ing Rox!

Delivered in Jan 2007. Was the last of the original box. Got it with no miles, now it's just rolled 100k. Lots of scratches on the paint, but that's what 2 kids will get you. 2 brakes, 3rd set of tires (plus winters which are a necessity and GREAT!!).

This Mother F'ing car has never been back to the dealer or any shop!!

I change the oil with Waltmart syn 5/30 every 7500 miles. The oil is less than $20 for 5 quarts and a Fram Tough Gard filter is like $4. My wife drives the box now and she loves it. I get to drive it for the next week as she's out of town. I can finally listen to my long lost RATT 8191 cd!! WooWho!!

po1973 03-03-2016 02:29 AM

*****in addition, the plugs have been replaced several times (latest Iridium) and the throttle body likes to be sprayed out 1x year! also, i bootlegged a cabin air filter.

AnalogXB 03-04-2016 03:04 PM

Still Going Strong and Still Looking Clean

Its been driven in so many winters, Ive had about 3 alternators, 2nd battery, apart from regular maintenance things like Oil change and Brakes. This ride is still solid.
