When looking at the pics that are given it has other issues. What's left of the hatch is bent and wiggly. The rear bumper is messed up. It looks like it's at a wrecking yard now plus they even say it's a "project vehicle". I'm thining it had the roof caved in so they cut it off, drove it for awhile and now trying to un load it on someone else. Looks like a giant POS to me.

It looks just like all the minitruck roadsters. Without the roof it's not a box.

YIKES... No frame braces = the reason the windshield is cracked and the remainder of the rear hatch's dent issues. Whoever does end up buying this is going to spend more money in reworking the poor inbred engineering than they actually purchase the car for.

So let's pretend for the sake of argument that they drop the doors and just make it a frame and sheetmetal all the way around (get in and out dukes of hazzard style), would that resolve the structural issues?
Looking at it, it's a pretty neat concept (I did see the xB convertible in the Scion mag a couple years ago). It reminds me of that modified xA done by 5-axis long ago.

A car that's made to be a convertible is different structurally than a hardtop. Bracing and supports along and across the chassis, in the engine compartment, etc. It would take a heckuva lot of work to make this thing drivable at anything more than a crawl, let alone acceptably structurally rigid by usual coach-building standards.
And I'm with some of you in that done right, this really COULD be something cool. Unfortunately, this one ain't...
