Default Scion xB: One of the top 10 cars with the highest resale

I came across this article and it kinda shocked me.

I always hear from my friends about how out of all the Scions, they like the 'box' one the least.

But according to this, the xB is the number 7 car with the highest resale value, at 57.8%.

Thought it was neat.. heres a link to the site.

Yep, I'd say this has been pretty common knowledge amongst box owners for a while now.

the original XB did in fact sell like hot cakes against popular belief. society wants you to think that they are ugly and most people hate them.... statistics of sales prove this not to be true.

yeah. There's always at least one smartass poster on every thread.

My b. I'll leave the box owners alone from now on.

my pants aren't twisted, i'm just frustrated with posters that always bash people threads.

the reason i posted it b/c it was the top story on autospies.com and i thought as such, it was relatively new information and felt it was worthy of sharing it with you all.

if you didn't mean what you said sarcastically, or as a jab at my knowledge of current xB trends, then I apologize, no harm done.

Actually, it was an interesting article, but it also changes as you look at the source of the data. It comes from a leasing company, and hence the numbers are interesting to look at the whole list. My old xb was totaled and lost only 1000 dollars in value in 20 months and 26000 miles. That car held value great. The car is always in demand and if it hadn't held value so well, I might have considered buying another, but chose to go with a new car for many personal reasons. Both xb and xb2 (God, I wish they had gone with a different name) owners always feel the need to defend their choice and are very thin skinned. This board has a few haters and trolls that cause a lot of trouble.
Anyway, the old xb is a sort of love it or hate it type car. I never met an owner of one who didn't love it. But some people are biased against the box look. To each his own. Thanks for the link.

Then again... what a lot of us do to our cars can have a negative effect on resale, ah well.

^^^Exactly! I see this everyday at the dealership. Guys bring their "modded" cars, expecting more money but nope! They get less cause other buyers don't want that "crap" on there!
