Default Scionsport Short Shifter

Anybody know anything about the Scionsport RS-Type short shifter? It looks like a solid unit (assuming that the pic is the shifter) and the price is great. Hopefully someone here either has it or has seen it/used it. Thanks in advance.

Here's the URL http://scionsport.com/store/product_...8330b387d5f791

The shifter is OK, it's about the same height as stock, the throw is a bit shorter (not THAT much, or atleast it doesn't seem it anymore)... the stock boot chrome plastic jobber doesn't fit over the shifter without drilling it out since the shifter is not lathed down like the stock one for the chrome jobber to rest on...

That's the shifter you'll recieve though, greased with something similar to honey... that smells ODD and the base it comes with will become flimsy and crappy after a couple days.

I've had mine in a week, and the side to side movement it has now (worn out the plastic ____ already I think) is horrible... it moves 3/4 inch each way before the springs even start in... every gear feels like neutral to an inexperienced driver...

All in all, I wouldn't buy it again. I already have it, so I'm going to put the shifter into the stock base to tighten it up a bit...

Yeah it does look like the TRD one. You know which one works real well, the TWM short shifter. I was able to drive subcodes xA with it on after I installed a mean ___ catback on it. And dude I am still saving my pennies for it! The TWM shifter feels nice and has real short throws going into gear. I say, go for that one. :D

Thanks Mikochu.
Looks pretty basic. Is it really just a shorter shaft? Doesn't seem like that'd make much of a difference.
The TRD one looks like a whole new shift kit.
I haven't seen either one of them except in pics.

shorter from pivot to shift ****... longer from pivot to shift links... So, you have a shorter throw when shifting...

I'd rather not have a shorter shaft. I practically have to bend over to shift now.

Thanks guys!
Does the boot still fit or do you need a new boot?
I don't mind a few extra wrinkles but I don't think I'm up for making a new one...

OK, I can handle a bigger hole.
I was messing with the chrome OBX shift **** and it feels nice.
So TMW short shifter is moving up the list... Not too short I hope, I'm no giant at 5'7'' but I don't want to stretch to reach the shifter.

OK I ordered my TMW Short Shifter...
I'll let you know how it goes.
BTW, I got my OBX shift **** and the damn thing cut my finger open!
The finish is really disappointing.
