Default Scioon's marketing dept. is doing a great job.

Selling it to everyone

Yesterday at the gas station I saw a 70 year old handicap driving a xB with a spoiler, TRD Wheels, and Exhaust, at least...

I don't want to start another one of the "how old should scion drivers be" but it is sortof wierd how broad of a range the xB buyers and drivers are.

But, on the other hand, When you are 70 would you rather drive some wierd looking popular with the teens car, or your good 'ole car that looks similar to the cars you grew up with.

i don't think it's so much on the Marketing Dept. ... but rather people (young and old) know a good deal when it comes. Scions are econimical and have their own style. So I am not too surprised to see all sorts of people driving Scions ... especially the xB.

but wtf is up with a 70 y.o. getting trd rims and exhaust. nevermind i answered my own question. the exhaust is so they can hear the car and the over sized wheels are to make the ride rough to keep them awake.

It's called profit margin... They'r probably loading them up on purpose. Honda did that with the Odysseys, they were in such demand, they would load them all up and say "Well, you can take it or wait and see what we get next..."

That has handicap plates.

Yeah I know it can happen but the chances that a person at the age (approx. 17) has such a disability that he needs hanicap plates, are pretty low.

BTW I would not let my Grandpa drive my car.

Default its not the age of the buyers but the price of the car

the xB is really priced just right plus the roominess of it makes it so attractive to buyers regardless of age. My aunt who is 71 owns an xB automatic w/ all dealer options. She and my mom who is 73 drives the xB all over town and loves their xB.

They're good cars, marketing's got nothing to do with it!

Word about the odessys, my parents were going to buy one but the dealer had put some ridiculous ____ in it, like $500 floor mats.
