Default Shift **** threads

I know I'm a gen 2 owner now but there are many more members in the gen 1 forums that may be able to help.

I have an auto gen 2 XB and I want to put the Monster **** I had in my gen 1 on the shifter. There are no buttons so that's not an issue but the threads are made for a much larger shaft. Does anyone know of a good way to still use the **** on the smaller diameter auto shaft?

you can get a threaded spacer, or get a spacer that will fit, and thread the internal and external diamaters..
or even easier, try getting a cheepy shift **** from walmart or auto parts store, that comes with the threaded inserts that fit... some do come with them, some dont.. usually the "universal" ones do...

I won't start a new thread since this is the right subject.

Can somebody tell me what the thread is on the 1st Gen manual shift ****?
