Default should I accept these? -video of another set now

Hey all,
Ok.. so I'm pretty ____ed off right now, been waiting for my new crap (trd struts/shocks) to get here from ups, and when I get it and open it up, they are all scratched and banged to poop. It looks like they just rattled around in the box.

I got them from trdsparks and I called them right after discovering this, emailed them the pix I had taken per their request etc. Haven't heard back yet...

Should I make a big deal about this? the guy imo was brushing me off saying you don't see your shocks and stuff... well true, but slightly, I don't want messed up stuff, period.

Maybe it's a sign I should have just shelled out for koni's...

you guys tell me what you think here's 3 pix

I don't know how durable they are when being knocked around, either way it sounds like they've been beaten and abused pretty bad. When you say banged do you mean dented? If they are dented and its not from UPS definitly make a big deal because it would probably take a lot to damage them that much.

Everyone on here that I've seen always says to order from there, I've never seen a bad post about that place.

^^that's why I ordered from them, so no dirt yet I'm giving them time to fix the issue first.
they aren't dented really, just scratched to hell.

If you click on the pic again after doing it once, it makes it screen size and you can really see it. So who knows if some internals are messed up ya know...

screw that! like usually I'm a pretty relaxed person when it comes to things like that, but if you paid for a new set, you shouldn't have to pay for some that look worse than some used sets. even if they werent scratched up when they sent them, they should have packaged them better.

I would complain.

No freaking way would I take this lying down. They need to return those at their expense and send you new ones. Those look like hell.

wow thats no good. i wouldn't accept those.

do yourself a favor. send them back, get your refund, and hit up amazon for monroe sensatrac struts and shocks. monroe is having a special right now for $50 off when you buy all 4. talk about a great deal. it goes through end of may. if you get the echo struts you get another .5 inch lower in the front.

just an idea. save you some money.

no, those are pretty beat up. based on the theory that they are not seen i would accept like........a 50 % discount on them or something, but they almost look gouged.

no, you paid good money for them, you need a good product. buy something thats supposed to be new, better freaking look new.

Hey thanks all for the replies, everyone is confirming what I have been thinking! I feel much better about taking it up with them Monday (nicely of course, but won't take anything but a refund or replacement) And if they replace, I'll request something called packaging

I'm pretty laid back as well but this was a little over the top.

That monroe deal sounds sweet maybe I'll look those up after this deal is settled depending on how it ends.

Uhhhh . . . yeah . . . but NO! By that I mean that yes, surface scratching will not make a difference in how they perform, but who knows what other kind of damage was caused by insufficient packaging?

Return them and demand that the replacements get shipped properly, is what I would do.

It's not the scratches... those look used. Look at the rust spot where the strut bolts in... Those aren't new parts.

Keith, the Waydo stuff is that blue color.
